General Terms & Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts for the provision of digital sewing patterns and e-books between Okistyle (hereinafter referred to as the “Seller”) and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the “Customer”) via the online shop at www.oki-pattern.com.

Any conflicting or deviating terms of the Customer shall not apply unless expressly agreed to in writing by the Seller.

2. Customer Account & Requirements

The use of the online shop and access to digital content require the creation of a customer account. The Customer must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

Order processing and communication take place via email. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the provided email address is correct and accessible.

The Customer must update any changes to their personal data in their account without delay.

To download digital products, the Customer must have appropriate hardware, software, and a stable internet connection. The Customer is responsible for meeting these technical requirements.

3. Offer and Conclusion of Contract

The presentation of products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to place an order.

By clicking the button “Place Order with Obligation to Pay,” the Customer submits a binding offer.

The order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance of the offer. The contract is concluded only when the Seller expressly accepts the order or provides access to the purchased digital content.

The contract text is stored and can be accessed by the Customer.

If a product is unavailable, the Customer will be informed and any payment made will be refunded.

The contract language is German.

4. Payment Terms

All prices include applicable VAT unless otherwise stated.

Payment methods:

  • Prepayment

  • Credit card

  • PayPal

For PayPal payments, the terms and conditions of PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg apply.

5. Delivery of Digital Products

Delivery is made exclusively in digital form by providing download access in the Customer’s account after payment has been received.

The purchased files are available for download for a period of 21 days.

The Customer will also be notified via email. It is recommended to download and save the files within this period.

6. Retention of Title

The digital content remains the property of the Seller until full payment has been received.

7. License & Usage Rights

Upon purchase, the Customer is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the digital content for personal use only.

All intellectual property rights remain with the Seller.

The Customer is not permitted to:

  • use the content for commercial purposes without permission

  • copy, distribute, publish, or share the content

  • modify copyright notices

  • share account access or download links

Commercial use requires a separate licensing agreement.

8. Warranty

Statutory warranty rights apply.

Claims for damages unrelated to defects in the digital content are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Obvious defects must be reported within one month.

Minor deviations between illustrations and the actual pattern do not constitute a defect.

9. Right of Withdrawal

Consumers are generally entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal. Details are provided in the Seller’s separate withdrawal policy.

10. Applicable Law

The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

For consumers, this applies only insofar as mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence are not overridden.

Special Provisions for Digital Products

Usage Conditions

By purchasing digital products, the Customer receives a non-transferable license for personal use only.

The Customer agrees not to reproduce, distribute, sell, share, or otherwise make the content available to third parties without explicit permission.

Withdrawal for Digital Content

The right of withdrawal expires once the download has begun.

Before the download starts, withdrawal is possible.

Download & Backup

Downloads are available for 30 days and may be accessed up to three times.

The Customer is responsible for creating backup copies.

The Seller assumes no liability for data loss or technical issues on the Customer’s side.

General Right of Withdrawal

Customers have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
